  2. Higher Education Minister Receives her Zanzibar's Counterpart

Muscat,  (ONA) --- Dr. Rawya bint Saud al-Busaidi, Minister of Higher Education received in her office today Riziki Pembe Juma, Minister of Education and Vocational Training in Zanzibar and her accompanying delegation.

The guest asked Dr. Rawya to convey greetings of President of the United Republic of Tanzania along with best wishes of good health to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, and the Omani people further progress and welfare.

The two sides held a session of talks that was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Sarmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Zakia Abubakar, Vice Chancellor of the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) and officials in the ministry.

The session included several presentations highlighting the existing cooperation fields between the two countries particularly in the field of higher education.

The two sides also discussed activating the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of higher education between the Ministry of Higher Education in the Sultanate and the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in Zanzibar.
