  2. H E Aufi honours inventors for garnering world laurel

ONA - Muscat - H E Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, honoured inventors Tasnim bint Mohammed al Daoudiyah and Salma bint Salim al Sudairiyah for getting first place and gold medal for their invention ‘Oil Production’. 

The invention was ranked as the best in the field of youth inventions from 40 countries and 700 inventions at the World Innovation Fair in Germany. H E Dr Aufi was given a detailed explanation on the invention, which aims to use biofuels produced from dates kernel and oil used in kitchens as drilling fluid (clay oil) for oil exploration. 

H E Dr Aufi wished the inventors great success in their endeavours.  The ceremony was attended by H E Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al Bakri, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for Agriculture, and Dr Hamoud bin Darwish al Hasani, director general at the Directorate General of Agricultural and Animal Research.
