Muscat, Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed al -Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, today received Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdullah al-Mishari al-Saud, President of the Education Evaluation Commission (EEC) and Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Assessment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of joint cooperation between the ministry and EEC regarding the licensing of teachers, professional standards and curriculum standards.
On the other hand, the Saudi delegation presented three working papers on the National Centre for Assessment and its programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, attended by Saud bin Salim al -Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Planning and Human Resources Development, Dr. Hamoud bin Khalfan al -Harthy, Undersecretary of Education and Curriculum, a number of honorable members of the State Council and members of Majlis A'Shura and a gathering of invitees.
The first paper was presented by Dr. Prince Faisal bin Abdullah Al Mishari al-Saud, entitled "Assessment of Education and Training".
The second paper, entitled "Curriculum Standards Program and the School Performance Assessment Program", was presented by Dr. Adel bin Abdurrahman al-Qaid, Executive Director of Public Education Evaluation Sector, at Saudi Education Evaluation Commission, the third paper by Dr. Abdullah bin Ali al-Qatai, Deputy Executive Director of the National Centre for Assessment entitled (Tests and Assessments of the National Centre for Assessment).
