Muscat, The National Defence College (NDC) today concluded a Symposium on "The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Future of Work" which started on February 24th last month.
During the closing ceremony, the symposium reviewed the topics of the symposium and discussed the challenges, outcomes, initiatives and recommendations of the participants, who used scientific methodological of brainstorming and dialogue skills, discussion, analysis and conclusion.
The closing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al- Bakri, Minister of Manpower, in the presence of Mohammed bin Nasser al- Rasbi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Lt-Gen Ahmed bin Harith al- Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), Maj-Gen Salim bin Musallam Qatan, Commandant of NDC , a number of honorable members of the State Council and members of Majlis A'Shura, a number of senior officers from SAF, the military and security forces and a number of senior officials in the public and private sectors and the specialists and invitees and strategic guides at the National Defence College and participants in the sixth patch.
This symposium was part of NDC annual program of the symposiums of strategic issues and within the curriculum and courses of the college. A number of national strategic issues were discussed with the participation of a number of consultants and experts and specialists to find solutions and proposals that serve the topics and strategic issues of national concern, formulate ideas to achieve the desired objectives, prepare initiatives and study indicators, as well as the formulation of actionable recommendations.
