Muscat, The Research Council (TRC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, conducted an initial assessment for the 3rd Innovation and Research Award in the field of water of the category of the young innovator in the prize for research and innovations in the field of water.
The assessment reviewed (30) innovative projects submitted by 10-12 standard students of public, private and international education schools from different governorates of the Sultanate, to participate in the award.
The jury included representatives from the Ministry of Education and the TRC in preparation for the final evaluation of the Young Innovator category during the coming period.
The award, organized by the TRC and the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science, aims to enhance the role of scientific research and innovation in finding solutions to water issues and raising awareness of water resources management.
The award is divided into two categories. The first category is subdivided into two parts, the first for the PhD holder researchers and the second for young researchers of non-PhD holder. The second category is for innovation in the field of water and is subdivided into two parts, the first for innovation and the second for young innovators.
