MUSCAT: The Ministry of Oil and Gas inaugurated the joint recruitment portal in the oil and gas sector under the patronage of Salim bin Nasser al Oufi, Under-Secretary of the ministry. The employment portal is one of the fruits of the local value added programme supervised by the Ministry of Oil and Gas in coordination with all companies operating in the oil and gas sector.

The portal aims to harmonize and achieve transparency in the recruitment process so that all the available jobs are accessible to everyone and to apply for any one of them electronically in an easy way. It also enables the Ministry of Oil and Gas to establish a database of the qualified human resources needs and to provide them through direct and continuous coordination with universities and specialised institutes.

The Ministry of Oil and Gas also set up a call center to provide the necessary technical support to any applicant or job-seeker facing a challenge in the process of applying to any job and interacting with all inquiries regarding the portal. — ONA
