MUSCAT - The Arab Open University is preparing to receive a new batch of its students in various disciplines including the recently introduced Bachelor of Law programme.
Yousuf al Husaini, head of admission and registration, said, “The first semester of the academic year 2018-19 will be launched on September 23. The university recently introduced the Bachelor of Law programme as a quality addition to its programmes.”
The new specialisation is expected to serve a large segment of the community wishing to enrol in law programmes. It is also expected that the programme will host the first batch starting from the first semester of the academic year 2018-19.
In addition to the new programme, Arab Open University offers a number of degree and diploma programmes in Business Administration, Information Technology and Computer Science.
Each programme contains several specialised subjects, in addition to the Bachelor of Science in Accounting, which is also a modern speciality that has been recently added to the programme package at the university.
The university also offers MBA programmes and education technology and educational leadership, Husaini added. Arab Open University provides students with the eLearning system, which enables them to communicate directly with faculty members as well as attend online lectures.
The university also offers electronic services system, which enables students to register electronically and also to view the academic schedule available during the academic semester.
The study plan, personal plan, grading, screen complaints, suggestions and grievances are also available through the electronic services system.
