Muscat: An announcement for the establishment of the National University of Science and technology by merging Oman Medical College, Caledonian College of Engineering and the College of Pharmacy was made at a press conference at Grand Hormuz Hotel yesterday.

The function was held in the presence of Sheikh Salim bin Said Al Fannah Al Araimi , chairman of the board of National University of Science and Technology and P. Mahamed Ali, chairman of the executive council of the University and members of the Board of the National University of Science and technology, founders of the University and media persons. The first batch will begin in September.
